Technishield®

Technishield®

Fire-resistant glass partitions and doors delivering 30-120 minutes of certified protection, without compromising design.

The Technishield range provides fire-resistant glass partitions and doors designed to meet the visual and practical demands of modern office interiors. Slim steel-framed systems combine clearly defined fire performance with a considered architectural appearance, supporting glazed screens and doors without compromising the overall design intent of the space.

Certified Fire Protection

From 30 minutes’ integrity to 120 minutes’ integrity and insulation, the Technishield range provides fire-resistant glazed partition and door systems supported by test evidence to relevant British and European standards.

Fabricated In-House

Our fire resistant products are fabricated in-house, allowing us to control the quality and accuracy of every system before it leaves our factory.

Flexible Configurations

Available as screens, single and double doors, side panels, and over panels, with butt-jointed, mullion, or fully framed glazing options to suit any elevation.

Certified Fire Protection

Tested. Certified. Trusted.

Every Technishield system is rigorously tested to the highest standards. Acoustic performance is measured on full-height, multi-module screens with glazing joints and perimeter trackwork, not simplified window samples, ensuring the ratings you specify are the ratings you get on site.

Breadth of Test Evidence

Extensive fire testing supports a wide range of Technishield system configurations, giving greater flexibility across different screen, door, glazing and framing requirements.

Award-Winning OPTech Support

Our award-winning OPTech team provides evidence-backed fire guidance, helping project teams interpret test evidence and select appropriate system configurations.

Independently Verified Performance

Technishield systems are supported by independent fire test evidence, providing documented performance data for use during specification, design review and compliance checks.

Evidence for Each Configuration

Fire performance is linked to clearly defined tested or assessed configurations, helping ensure claims are applied only where the supporting evidence is relevant.

Technishield application example

Create fire-resistant zones within open-plan offices to the specified rating, while glazed partitions maintain visual connection and allow natural light to pass through the space.

Applications

Technishield systems are specified across a wide range of commercial environments where fire compartmentation, escape route protection, and design quality are all essential.

Understanding Fire Resistance

Fire-resistant partitions are tested and classified to relevant British or European standards. European classifications use E (integrity) and EI (integrity & insulation) notation under EN 13501-2, while British test evidence may be expressed as paired fire-resistance periods such as 30/0 (integrity only) or 30/30 (integrity & insulation), for example.

E-Rated

Integrity Only

Prevents the passage of flames and hot gases for the rated duration. Suitable where compartmentation is required without insulation.

EI-Rated

Integrity + Insulation

Prevents flames, hot gases, and limits heat transfer through the partition. Required where people may be in close proximity to the fire barrier.

Find the right Technishield system for your project by comparing fire resistance ratings, acoustic performance, frame dimensions, and configuration options.

Technishield FAQ's

The range covers E30 (30 minutes integrity) through to EI120 (120 minutes integrity and insulation).

E-rated systems (integrity only) prevent the passage of flames and hot gases. EI-rated systems provide both integrity and insulation, also limiting heat transfer through the partition.

Yes, Single doors, double doors, doors with over panels, and doors with side panels are available depending on the system.

Yes, all systems are tested in 3rd party UKAS-accredited laboratories.
