Warm-toned glazing defines AirTrunk’s destination workplace in Sydney
AirTrunk’s global headquarters in Sydney was designed by Woods Bagot and delivered by AW Edwards as a destination workplace for one of Asia-Pacific’s leading data centre specialists. Built around collaboration, employee wellbeing and a strong ESG brief, the fit-out combines immersive meeting rooms, advanced conferencing technology and a warm material palette, with Optima supplying single-glazed partitions and Microflush-framed doors in a Dulux Duratec Eternity Bronze Pearl Kinetic finish.
A warmer expression of transparency
The Bronze Pearl Kinetic finish gives the glazed elevations a softer, more distinctive presence than a standard neutral frame. It sits comfortably alongside the workplace’s recycled timber, locally sourced Australian wood, indoor planting and textured acoustic materials, helping the partitions feel integrated into the wider interior palette.
Optima 117 Plus was used to create enclosed rooms while maintaining a high level of visibility across the office. The result is a workplace that remains open and visually connected, but with carefully defined areas for meetings, focus and collaboration.
ESG carried through the workplace
The fit-out was designed in line with AirTrunk’s wider ESG commitments, with the building targeting a 5 Star Green Star rating, 4.5 NABERS rating and platinum-level WELL certification. The interior also incorporates recycled wood, locally sourced materials, stone acoustic panelling made from recycled plastic, energy-efficient lighting and indoor planting.
Within this setting, the glazing helps balance environmental ambition with day-to-day workplace performance. Enclosed rooms are created without relying on heavier internal construction, while acoustic separation, natural light and visual connection are retained across the office.
A headquarters designed to attract and inspire
For AirTrunk, the new headquarters needed to be more than a functional workplace. It was conceived as a destination for people, clients and future talent, with the office environment playing a central role in the company’s employee experience.
As AirTrunk Founder and CEO Robin Khuda noted:
“AirTrunk workplaces have always been a key part of our employee value proposition because we know that an energising environment influences how people feel and in turn, positively impacts their experience, engagement, and productivity.”
That ambition is reflected in the completed headquarters: a carefully considered workplace that brings together collaboration, wellbeing and a strong sense of identity for AirTrunk’s global team.
