Optima volunteers at Whitechapel Mission

Colleagues from across Optima recently volunteered with Whitechapel Mission in London, helping to prepare and serve breakfast for people experiencing homelessness.

During the morning, the team supported approximately 150–200 people, helping the charity provide a welcoming start to the day and access to practical support.

Supporting people beyond breakfast

Whitechapel Mission works with people experiencing homelessness by providing essential services including food, shower facilities, clothing and ongoing support.

For our volunteers, the morning was an opportunity not only to help prepare and serve breakfast, but also to see first-hand the wider support the charity provides every day.

The experience highlighted the importance of practical, consistent support and the difference organisations such as Whitechapel Mission make within their communities.

A big thank you to everyone who gave their time to take part.

Community volunteering continues to be an important part of the way our colleagues support causes beyond the workplace, and we are proud to contribute to organisations carrying out valuable work in the communities around us.
