Christian Mabey

Managing Director & President, Group Board

Christian Mabey has 26 years’ experience in the commercial interiors sector, spanning sales, marketing, product development, manufacturing, export and customer service.

Since joining Optima in 2006, he has helped expand the business internationally and today leads Optima Products in the UK, PurOptima in North America and Optima Products Asia.

A strong advocate for sustainable manufacturing, Christian led Optima’s adoption of Hydro CIRCAL 75R recycled aluminium as its standard grade and was recognised as a Net Zero Hero in The Manufacturer Top 100 2025.

Based in Houston, Texas, Christian holds an MBA, is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (MCIM) and has received two CIMCIG marketing awards.

Teresa leads HSQE across the Optima Group, with responsibility for health, safety, quality and environmental standards, including the management of ISO certifications, accreditations and compliance requirements.

Gerard joined Optima in 2005 and is now Divisional Design Director, leading an enthusiastic and skilled team of designers.

Having been with the business since 2015, Lynne supports Optima’s people strategy across the group, helping shape the employee experience, recruitment, development and wider HR processes that support the business as it continues to grow.

Peter Long is Optima’s Divisional Fire and Certification Director, overseeing product testing, certification and technical support. With more than 25 years at Optima, he helps promote accurate product information, responsible specification and higher standards across the glazed partitioning sector.

A Chartered Surveyor with extensive UK and Middle East experience, Leon leads Optima’s business activities across the Middle East and North Africa.

Dave has been with Optima since 1990 and has extensive experience delivering large and complex projects. As a Director, he has overall responsibility for the estimating function within Optima Major Works.

Dave joined Optima in 1989 as a Project Engineer and quickly progressed to become Divisional Design Director heading up the Product Design and Service Team for Optima Products, with ultimate responsibility for product design.
