Bespoke arched glazing shapes a music company’s London headquarters
A multinational music company’s new headquarters in King’s Cross brings recording studios, live event space, offices, meeting rooms and shared amenities together across seven floors. Designed by MoreySmith and delivered by BW Interiors, the workplace was created for several record labels, each with its own character but connected through a wider architectural language.
Within that setting, bespoke Optima 117 Plus Shoreditch Edition arches form some of the project’s most distinctive spaces. Used around the library adjoining the central restaurant and event area, the curved heads and applied aluminium banding introduce a more expressive rhythm than a conventional glazed screen, giving the interior a detail that feels closely aligned with the creative nature of the building.
Arches as an architectural signature
The bespoke glazed arches create a clear threshold between the library and the adjoining restaurant and event space. Their curved form gives the room a stronger sense of identity, while the transparency of the glass maintains light and views between the quieter library setting and the more animated communal areas around it.
Shoreditch Edition aluminium banding follows the arched geometry, turning the partition into a carefully drawn architectural feature rather than a standard glazed elevation. Set against the wider mix of colour, furniture, lighting and artwork, the arches add another layer to an interior shaped around music, performance and creative exchange.
A workplace composed for different uses
The headquarters moves between recording, live events, private meetings and everyday work, with the glazing tailored to the acoustic demands of each setting. Revolution 54 Plus was used across offices, boardrooms and meeting spaces, with the specified configuration achieving up to Rw46dB.
The master recording studio required a more specialised response. Here, bespoke timber-framed double-glazed observation windows were developed to maintain visibility between spaces while achieving up to Rw53dB for the more demanding studio environment.
A standard set by the project
The completed installation reflects the expectations attached to a headquarters of this scale and reputation. Bespoke forms, carefully coordinated finishes and verified acoustic performance come together in a package that is both visually distinctive and technically resolved.
