Paul Gooden
Environmental & Sustainability Manager, Central Services
Paul has worked in environmental and sustainability roles for more than 17 years, with experience spanning consultancy, building assessment and corporate sustainability. Since joining Optima in 2018, he has taken responsibility for the company’s environmental management and wider sustainability programme.
His role includes maintaining ISO 14001 certification, monitoring environmental performance and supporting continual improvement across areas including energy, water and waste. He also leads work around carbon measurement and Net Zero strategy, including Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions reporting, while supporting project teams with sustainability requirements associated with BREEAM, LEED, SKA and WELL.
Paul also works with clients, suppliers and internal teams on areas including sustainable procurement, circular economy principles, environmental data and wider CSR activity.
