Optima's Kinetic Sliding Door was designed specifically to work within our 117 Single Glazed Partitioning System.

Additional information

It can be used to maximise available floor space by negating the need for a swinging door. The Kinetic Door consists of a 12mm toughened glass leaf acting on carriages within a robust head track, thus providing seamless integration with our 40mm head channel. The vertical edges of the door are sealed in the closed position to optimise acoustic performance.

This also allows Kinetic doors up to 3000mm in height to be installed whilst still satisfying the opening apertures required within Part 'M'. Locking can be provided by the use of lockable pull handles. Few moving parts is the key to the simplicity and elegance of the Kinetic Door. The excellent reliability is proven - the door is tested to successfully withstand over 100,000 open & closing cycles.

The Kinetic door is designed for on-site installation and the door framework is available as a package including vertical track, operating gear and seals. This reduces the lead time for standard colours and facilitates the partition installation.

Compatibility

The door is designed for use in the Optima 117 single glazed system.

Maximum Height

FAQ

Are the doors available in either hand?

Yes. Doors can slide to either the left or right.

How much sliding space is required?

An equal distance to the door opening width of 1000mm should be allowed at the 'open' side of the door.

Can the door be constructed with 10 or 12mm glass?

The door has been designed around 12mm glass but is capable of taking 10mm glass subject to the ceiling height. However, the acoustic performance will be reduced.
