ROSPA award Optima Gold

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (ROSPA) have accredited Optima Group with the rarely won, Gold Achievement Award.ROSPA are a nationally recognised charitable safety organisation, with a vision to save lifes and reduce injuries, having been at the heart of accident prevention in the UK and the world for more than 90 years.

The award focused on Optima Group's approach to Health and Safety in general: measuring and monitoring system compliance, training, awareness, performance and auditing accident statistics. The coverted "Gold" status was awarded following a written submission which included over 55 individual pieces of documentary evidence.

Gary Evans, Optima Director stated, "This award is additionally significant to the Group as initial entries, like ours, seldom achieve gold first time round. Successful entry level submissions are usually awarded at MERIT, BRONZE and in some cases SILVER. Vaughan Rance deserves huge praise for developing our Health and Safety Management System and performance in recent years to a level of excellence befitting this award."

A formal presentation of the award was made to the Optima team at The Birmingham Metropole on Wed 16th May 2012.
