Project Case Study

The Queen Mary Innovation Centre project was a three-phase installation over eight weeks.  There were two manifestation designs applied to internal glazing across the building.  These were a gradient wash in grey-scale and a barcode pattern.  The gradient wash was applied as a privacy screen to office area's.

The concept for the colour was initially an etch glass effect that faded out towards the top of the panel.  As the design evolved, this became a darker grey.

The barcode pattern was applied to the communal area's of the building in a 5% of black tint.  This was very light, but worked well to DDA regulations and complemented the gradient perfectly.
