Project Case Study

Nottingham Trent University's (NTU) mission is to deliver education that shapes lives and society and to create the finest city centre campus by modernising and rebuilding inside the Newton building whilst, restoring the Victorian Arkwright Design and Architecture building into an architectural gem.

Working closely with the Main Contractor and Architect on this complex refurbishment project, Moda Interiors Limited installed circa 520m of Frameless Double Glazed partitioning including 103 Nr full height hardwood doors and ironmongery within the existing 11 storey listed Newton building and Arkwright link.

During a 2 stage process, Moda interiors Limited have developed the project brief with particular attention to the Acoustical performance requirements.

Moda Interioirs utilized Optima's Revolution 97 Double Glazed mullion free partitioning system with Nebula jointed Frameless Glazing which provided an Acoustic performance of Rw48dB.  Height range 2750mm to 3300mm including manifestation to the glass.  Optima's Frameless Glass Doors were also installed within the stonework surrounds.
