Optima - Glass Partitioning Systems

WOW Contracting has completed a scheme to create new innovatively designed office space for the new UK Headquarters of Biogen Idec, a world leader in the development of medical therapies.

As well as a main office and meeting rooms, the building features a number of meeting pods, photocopying and administration booths, restaurant and coffee area all designed to create an inspirational workspace that reflects the company's innovative approach towards medical research.

Working closely with main Contractor, Overbury (Southern) Plc and architects HOK International, WOW undertook a variety of works throughout the four storey office building.  This included the creation of all suspended ceilings, being a mix of metal and feature plasterboard, internal dry wall partitions and sliding glass doors.  As well as the fit out of the boardrooms and meeting rooms, WOW was tasked with the creation of the numerous pods and booths around the building, many of which, featured curved walls, plus the creation of the restaurant and coffee area.
